Quality without compromise
is the focus of Acheon Winery, driving all decisions starting from the vineyards’ cultivation, to vinification, production and packaging.
We believe in natural, minimal intervention winemaking, with the firm believe that the secret to a great wine lies in the vineyard and in the beautiful landscape that surrounds it.
Sustainable practices are applied throughout the processes. We are committed to preserve and improve the land we will pass to the future generations. We cultivate organically our vineyards where we source fruit from. We work close with our growers to introduce them to best vineyard practices that will allow the soil and the vines to give their best potential.
Careful hand picking in small bins based on flavor and tannin ripeness early in dawn, minimal intervention to allow the fruit to express the quality and characteristics of the variety with winemaking techniques to enhance the varietal aromas, flavours, textures and create unique blending components will give us the consistent wines we aim to produce.
Our winery, is perfectly equipped with state of the art equipment to elaborate, fine, hand crafted wines. Influenced by our heritage and international savoir-faire, we strive to make wines that express the unique characteristics of Aigialeia terroir and its indigenous varieties.
Our building facilities, after being renovated and equipped with state of the art machinery, uses gravity for the transfer of the must and wine. Our facilities procsess is vertical pneumatic presses and stainless steel refrigerated tanks that control the fermentation so that top quality wine can be created.
There is an underground wine cellar where the wine matures as well as a boutique that complete the image of our modern wine facilities.
