Selected vineyard in Salmeniko Aigio (altitude 450 m.)
The grapes are destemmed and transferred to the fermentation tank.
The fermentation starts with the indigenous yeasts.
The fermentation temperatures is controlled at 22-23ᵒC and after the separation of the free-run juice, the wine undertakes malolactic fermentation in tanks.
Oak barrel maturation for 15 months in second use barrels (70% American oak– 30% French oak).
Bottling without filtration.
A delicious bouquet of black-red fruits and spices.
Rich body with noble notes of wood, elegant tannins, and a long aftertaste that reveals the true character of Mavrodaphne.
Served at 16-18˚C
